Hi, I'm Sandra Smith, Product Manager for Wexxar Bel. Today, we're going to look at the case conveyance system as it relates to our Flex E Pack system. At Pack Expo Chicago, we introduced the single operator Flex E Pack system integrated with our Dekka 500 and Bel 250 top sealer. This system featured a 10-case-per-minute erector integrated with a matching sealer, consisting of this buffer conveyor and a single load cell for the operator. All the conveyor controls are housed in our case erectors, specifically in the Dekka 500 for that system.

Since Chicago, we've developed a two-person pack station, incorporating feedback from our customer base to better meet their needs. Today, we'll explore the logic behind the conveyors. We'll start by powering up the machine and loading the conveyor, using our WF-20 case erector, which offers more speed than the 10-minute Dekka 500 system. This setup aims for around 15 cases per minute.

When the conveyor is initialized, it feeds the buffer zone, ensuring operators are continuously supplied. In a two-person pack station, cases advance to the first position for the first operator, who loads two pulls of product before sending it to the second operator, who repeats the process. This keeps a steady flow of cases through the sealer.

However, if one operator needs to step away, we've programmed a bypass system to keep the line moving. For instance, if operator one steps away, operator two can continue working, and cases will automatically advance to them. The same applies if operator two is unavailable; operator one can keep the line going.

For even greater flexibility, both operators can load cases in a "run and gun" manner by bypassing all the conveyors, provided the machine is operating at an appropriate speed. This flexibility ensures that the right amount of cases reaches operators without tying them to a specific button or the machine.

Thanks for checking out the Flex E Pack. We'll be sharing more videos on Flex E Pack as we develop more unique product delivery systems. Stay tuned for more updates in the fall. Thank you.
