Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada — Wexxar Bel’s innovative Auto Adjust technology, which automates many of the major adjustments and human factors impacting machine setup and changeover, is now available on its popular BEL 290 case sealer. Wexxar Bel introduced its landmark Auto Adjust technology for case formers last Fall on its WF Series. Expanding Auto Adjust to include case sealing was a natural progression in offering customers a complete Form Pack and Seal solution with industry leading efficiency, reliability, and changeover times.
Wexxar Bel’s Auto Adjust technology greatly improves operation efficiency and reduces changeover times, especially in plants where continuous round-the-clock operations and frequent case changes are necessary. Auto Adjust allows operators to preset case dimensions and sealing requirements in the machine's control panel using a menu of selectable presets. The servo based system then automatically sets up the machine for the selected requirements. Auto Adjust stores the information for easy retrieval during future runs, thus automating major changeover points. This automated, 'one button', tools free configuration allows production departments to work more efficiently and to train operators quickly with repeatable results and precision.
The fully automatic BEL 290 case sealer precisely folds and seals the major and minor flaps for a wide range of case sizes and is available for top sealing or top and bottom sealing. It is ideal for high-volume lines and also includes Wexxar Bel’s energy smart technology, which shuts down the motor drive when cases are not present or paused upstream. Additional features include easy to use touch-screen controls, fully-interlocking safety guarding, extruded aluminum frame construction, and a compact design that fits easily into existing packaging lines.
The BEL 290 with case sealing Auto Adjust complements the WF Series Case Formers with Auto Adjust to offer customers a fully integrated and automated Form Pack and Seal System. Wexxar Bel will be exhibiting the WFPS 3290 S Series Form Pack and Seal System, which features both the BEL 290 and the WF30H at Pack Expo International, booth N-4006, October 28-31 in Chicago’s McCormick Place.
