The IPak Model SP-100 fully automatic sleeve wrapper is designed and built to withstand the rigors of continuous, heavy-duty, industrial applications. The SP-100 Series will collate and pack small containers in various configurations depending on customer specifications. It will continuously operate at speeds of up to 15 cycles per minute and is capable of handling a variety of container styles and sizes. Like all IPak machinery, the SP-100 Series is known for reliability and dependability and is backed by IPak's friendly and knowledgeable service team.
Method of Operation
The hoppers are loaded with die cut blanks. Vacuum cups pull the blanks onto the chain and lug drive. The blank is then impacted and partially folded by a forming mandrel. The first layer of product containers are then loaded utilizing a pick-and-place system. The partially loaded sleeve is advanced and then the second layer of product containers is loaded. Hot melt adhesive is applied and the sleeve is folded and compressed.
