Fully Automatic Tray Former - TF-350V5 Overview

The IPak Model TF-350V5 fully automatic tray former is designed and built to withstand the rigors of continuous, heavy-duty, applications. The TF-350V5 automatically forms Smurfit's patented VPS.5 style tray. An easy changeover enables the TF-350V5 to also form generic BTB style trays. It will continuously operate at speeds of up to 25 trays per minute and is fully adjustable to form various sizes and depths including full and half Common Footprint sizes. Size changes are quick and easy, and can be performed in less than 15 minutes. Like all IPak machinery, the TF-350V5 is known for reliability and dependability and is backed by IPak's friendly and knowledgeable service team.

Method of Operation

Die cut blanks are pulled by vacuum cups onto the lug and chain drive. Adhesive is applied, the blank is advanced and then impacted and folded by a forming mandrel. Rotary plows then fold the top ledge panels and provide internal support while cylinders sequentially fold and compress the outer minor flaps in each corner.
